Hej allihopa! Hello everyone!

After a couple of hectic months I will exchange my desk chair for a bicycle saddle! There will be a sequel to the St. Olav’s Way and for this I go to cycle in Sweden and Norway. In August Remy will come cycling my way and we’ll cycle the St. Olav’s Way together.

On this page you can read all about the intended route from which a bicycle guide will be made, In the footsteps of the Holy Olav.

As in the previous year, I’ll travel to the north by car with my bicycle. The route is divided in multiple segments and every time the car will be parked at the beginning of such segment for a week up to ten days to go cycling that part of the route. On my way I’ll camp out and after a couple of day or a week, I head back to the car. Then I go to the start of the next segment. This way I cycle the complete route back and forth.

I’ll travel via Hattem (sister Lidia and her family) and Göteborg (Swedish friends Anders & Sofia) and arrive Wednesday evening in Oslo where I start my first segment eastwards.

For the people who are interested in cycling the St. Olav’s Way: while I’m on the road, the guide can still be purchased through the Via Gaia website, even though you may need to wait a day longer for the guide to arrive. For a quick delivery, you can get the guide through various webshops. Click here for an overview.
