According to Remy, “Gea in Japan” is like a bull in a China shop. Not exactly a compliment, but I must agree that many a table-top has met with my knees, and many a door-post with my head. Japan is not built for people of my height. It’s a good thing I don’t need to buy any clothes, as I’m sure nothing would fit. Mirrors and washbasins are too low, slippers too small and kimonos too short.
Well..., I won’t get any shorter, but this bull has lost a lot of its breadth by the exertions in the mountains and the healthy Japanese food. Remy too, by the way. If he’s not careful, there won’t be anything left of him, which would be a pity.
